"I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the Bud Light sponsorship this year,” stated Angel. “They put in an incredible amount of work supporting and promoting the Texas Music scene and I am extremely honored to have been selected to help in their efforts. I really look forward to working together and seeing what we can achieve as a team in the year ahead!" Gearing up for a new radio single to lead us into the new season, Breelan is also heading back into the studio to record a sophomore project after much success in the two years since her debut. MisBhavin’ Records released three singles that impacted the Texas Regional Radio Report, MusicRow Country Breakout Chart and/or Billboard Country Indicator Chart and a debut album, "Dirty Little Secrets," which was released to much critical acclaim. A native of Baytown, Texas, Breelan’s music is filled with emotion and liveliness – as evidenced by the clever songwriting on songs such as “Pocket Change” and “Double Standards.” Armed with determination and a “steel magnolia” personality, Breelan’s work in Nashville and Texas allowed her to discover her true style for songwriting and performing. "Lyrically I like to push the button, saying things some might think are better kept unsaid,” she comments. “And there’s nothing better than a good two-step so, melodically, I lean towards a more traditional country sound like what I was raised on. By writing songs that are straight from the heart, I feel it gives the audience a better chance to understand what I do and hopefully makes it that much easier for them to relate to the music." Breelan has collaborated with Texas artists Bri Bagwell, Jody Booth and Neil Austin Imber as well as Nashville luminaries Clay Mills, Bernie Nelson, Marty Dodson, Rachel Thibodeau, Shane Stevens, Larry Weiss, Greg Barnhill and others. “I’ve learned the writing process is all about being vulnerable and wearing your heart and feelings on your sleeve,” says Breelan. “It's where no idea is a bad idea and you can't be sheltered in what you are thinking. Songwriting is my favorite part of the industry; each writer has their own style and technique. It’s a very unique experience and there is something to learn each time I meet a new writer to work on a new song.” Breelan's anthemic debut, “It’s My Turn,” sealed her spot as “One To Watch” (CMA Close-up) and, hot on its heels, her sophomore effort, “Halfway To Wasted,” went out to fans and radio. Her third radio single, "Double Standards," climbed the charts quickly in Texas and nationally. The compilation on “Dirty Little Secrets,” produced by Emmy-award winner Ray Barnette, is a testament of Breelan’s individuality and her “living out loud” style. From the fiery warning to “that girl” in “Walk of Shame,” to the last hopeful note of “One More Song,” the songs are an effortless story of a young woman striking out with an open heart and keen mind. Breelan’s songwriting skills shine on the title track, a free-flowing tune about family secrets in a small town (much like her own), while ballads “It Ain’t Easy Lovin’ Me” and “She Made Your Bed” provide a glimpse into the emotional vocal power and delivery displayed at her live shows. Leaving no experience untouched, Breelan’s fresh sound and insightful lyrics are a welcome addition to the music scene. As a performer, Breelan has been on the bill with today’s hottest Texas acts including Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers, Cody Johnson, Stoney LaRue, Aaron Watson, Bart Crow Band, Max Stalling, Turnpike Troubadours, JB & The Moonshine Band, Mario Flores, legendary artists Loretta Lynn, Don Williams, Johnny Lee as well as Joe Nichols, Easton Corbin, Randy Houser, Travis Tritt and Doug Stone. Breelan has played some of Texas finest venues including Houston’s House of Blues, Firehouse Saloon, Hard Rock Café, and Mucky Duck, Stafford Centre (Stafford), Rowdy Buck’s (Crosby), Freiheit Country Store and Billy’s Ice House (New Braunfels), The Chute (Baytown), Wormy Dog (Oklahoma City), and Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe and National Underground. Special events include Crosby Fair & Rodeo (two times), Lone Star Rally, Galveston County Fair, Whiskey & Wine, Girls With Guitars and Pinktober with KILT and Farmer’s Branch Liberty Fest. A second performance in February 2015 at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo World's Championship BBQ Cook-off, was a milestone moment for her. Breelan Angel brings originality to her music and her live show and, with just the right blend of southern charm and modern country rock, her spirited attitude are front and center when she and her band take the stage!
