So deep, she picked up and moved to Music City USA at the age of 13. Now 18, Kensie has graduated from high school one year early to pursue her music career full force. Currently, Kensie is working with Dale Dodson, Wes Hightower, and Bryan Wayne cowriting. She also just did a very well put together session with Sony/Tree that her, Curly Putman, and Dale Dodson wrote. You can find it on here, the song is titled "When it all Falls Down". Although Kensieís talent for singing and writing may come naturally, she has put in her share of hard work and persistence throughout her life.

That hard work has earned her accomplishments such as two performances on the Grand Ole Opry by age 11 and she has since opened for acts such as Josh Turner, Rebecca Lynn Howard and the hit songwriter Rivers Rutherford. As a member of NSAI, Kensie has a well-developed catalogue of enchanting songs. Her poetic style of writing is that of an old soul. She captures emotion through mixed messaged lyrics of subject matter beyond her years.

Growing up, Kensie spent most of her time listening to the radio and imitating the singers she would hear. She took great influence from incredible artists such as Leann Rimes, George Strait, Martina McBride, Tracy Lawrence, and today, along with these exceptional artists, she greatly admires the art of Miranda Lambert. Many of the songs she sang at Oprys across south central Texas were those of her influences. Most of her impressionable years were spent performing on stages such as the historic Gruene Hall in New Braunfels Texas, Cheatham Street with members of George Straitís Ace in the Hole Band, and the Cotton Club, home of many popular Texas artists. Kensie defines success as being able to pursue her passion and understands the commitment, dedication and patience that requires.

About section is from NowPlayingNashville.com
