Texas Country's BEST Station!
Stepping on to the Texas music scene with the debut album, "A Little More Time", the Oklahoma born and Texas raised Brett Hauser has been working hard to cut his teeth in an industry that tends to chew up most. Stubborn resilience has carried this songwriter to some of the major venues of the Texas Music Scene. His lyrical imagery brings the listener truths discovered through his own experiences and observations of life which we can all relate to.One source for Brett’s passion and creative angst is the music he grew up on. Namely Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker and Steve Earl. Listeners can even hear a little “rockin” Rodney Crowell in the mix. Brett discovered his musical convictions at the tender age of ten and has steeped himself in the culture ever since. This passion pushed him to become an accomplished and self-taught guitarist, singer, songwriter, and arranger. After high school Brett played a stint of college baseball before hanging up his hat and glove and trading it in for a guitar, pen and paper. He then moved to the hidden gem of the hill country, San Marcos, TX. It was in San Marcos that Brett decided to make song writing his life, and what better platform than the iconic Cheatham Street Warehouse? Venue owner & songwriter Kent Finlay quickly took Brett under his wing as a mentee. This gave Brett a world class opportunity to grow into the artist he is today. More recently, Brett has devoted his time and energy to promoting his new album while opening for some of the hottest names on the Texas Music Scene. So, if you find yourself eager to hear something fresh, something new, don't miss the opportunity to catch Brett live and hear the stories behind his heartfelt songs. Perhaps you can fall in love with music for the right reasons all over again.
